Hi there!
I’m Laura, and this is my labour of love. You might not usually associate those words with something that’s done for fun, but creating a food blog can be hard work. Often the battle is against myself (well, my camera).
You see, I really started doing this a few years back because I wanted to record the meals I was creating as I learned how to make healthy vegan food taste great.
But more than that, I wanted to give people ideas – and hope.
Because there are a lot of folk out there who think cooking – in general – is too hard to bother with. And that’s before you even mention the v word.
But it really can be as simple and satisfying as realising cashews can be turned into cheese.
Or that a curry – a seriously rich and complex curry – is really just a matter of throwing things into a pan in the right order.
So you’ll find here recipes that will hopefully inspire you to try something new; whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, flexitarian, or really just a love of food.
This is my hobby. My outlet for practical creativity. Writing (for love and money) takes up most of my time.
Which is why you’ll often find a recipe is really an excuse for me to write about something else…
So thanks for stopping by. If you want, you can come and make friends on twitter, facebook and instagram too.
If you really want to, you can sign up to receive each lovely new recipe by email, and get a free gift, using the form below.
Hey Laura,
I love your blog! I was going to say you have a really nice writing style, and now I see you’re a writer by profession so it all makes sense!
Anyway, just thought I’d say hello – looking forward to seeing more from you.
Just out of interest, what subject do you write on for your job?
Hi Sian,
Thank you for such lovely comments! It’s so nice to hear from people who read the blog and find something they like. I’ve just had a little peek at your blog and it looks fantastic! I can’t wait to read your recipes.
I write curriculum and books for teachers based (mostly) on the history and civilisation of Islam, which is quite a broad field. It sounds rather niche, but I have a background in teaching, which was most definitely not for me (being quiet, for a start), and in ancient history, so it sort of makes sense.
Thanks again and I look forward to catching up with your vegan exploits 🙂
Hey, I love your blog so have nominated you for the Liebster Award… See the details on my post- link below. I look forward to reading your answers!
