Wow, this month has gone quickly! I can’t believe we’re on the brink of December, and all the excitement, busyness and rich, winter food that’s to come.
November was definitely a month of contrasts for me, kicking off with a rainy pilgrimage to Cathedral Park, where we were married last year. It’s such a beautiful place, with memories and views and scents of the lush Pacific Northwest.
A mini expedition to Seattle followed, featuring craft beer in a converted mortuary, a bracing, mist-lashed hike along the waterfront and quite a lot of Ethiopian food. But more of that to come, in my mini guide to vegan Seattle.
But of course, our travels returned us back to our London lives, a happy and well-looked after Humphrey (thanks to my mum, house and cat-sitter extraordinaire); and for me, a need to focus on making more of my life about the things I love. I’m going to make that change happen.
And that means more writing! This month I shared an article recently published on the Huffington Post, Vegan: All or Nothing; and you can read my Christmas guide to catering for vegan and gluten-free guests in the latest issue of Free-From Heaven Magazine.

I’ve been experimenting a lot with recipes for Christmas and the party season (boozy mince pie brownies, anyone?!), so December’s posts will be filled with simple but delicious ideas for brightening up your festive favourites. If they don’t all make it onto the blog, be sure to follow along on Instagram.
Have a wonderful December!
